We are excited to announce that we are continuing our partnership with Green Mountain Farm to School (GMFTS) this year! GMFTS provides gardening workshops, including coordinating, planning, planting, garden maintenance, volunteer coordination and harvesting; providing cooking workshops; coordinate taste tests during our student lunch blocks; engage in 10 unit lessons with our students.
Yesterday, our students had the opportunity to work with GMFTS in the garden to harvest the crops they planted in the spring for this year's Harvest Festival dinner for Open House. Each class was able to harvest at least one crop, help with weeding and participated in a garden activity! GMFTS will be back tomorrow to help our students prepare a portion of our harvest meal using the crops that were harvested.
